Park Lane Student Film Festival 2026 — Results Announced
The Park Lane Student Film Festival took place on Friday, 22 May, at Kino 64 U Hradeb, bringing together students from Park Lane and other participating schools for an inspiring celebration of young filmmaking talent.
The event was very well attended by students, parents, teachers, and members of the wider Park Lane community, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere in which to enjoy a strong selection of student films. Congratulations to all the young filmmakers who took part and shared their creativity, ideas, and storytelling through film.
This year’s Grand Prize was awarded to PrAgl, created by students from Gymnasium Evolution. The Special Jury Prize went to Morituri Te Salutant, also by students from Gymnasium Evolution. And the Audience Award was presented to The Messenger, created by Park Lane students — a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition from the audience.
The nominees for the Grand Prize were: Again and Again, Everything’s Okay, I’m Not An Architect Yet, Morituri Te Salutant, Pigeons, PrAgl, The Messenger, The Pointillist, and Vivid Self Doubt.
The nominees for the Special Jury Prize were: Again and Again, Alone?, Invocation, Morituri Te Salutant, Pigeons, PrAgl, The Messenger, and The Pointillist.
We would also like to thank Maya Volava, who presented the Jury Award, and Mrs Alsu Kurmasheva, who joined the festival as a guest speaker and contributed to the evening with her inspiring presence and to Mr Michael Satrazemis, as a key note speaker.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our festival partners and supporters. Special thanks go to Mr Robin Kašpařík from the Prague Film Institute, who generously provided the main prize — a month-long filmmaking workshop — and to Kino 64 U Hradeb and Mr Jan Čep for providing such a wonderful venue for the festival.
Congratulations once again to all nominees, winners, and participating filmmakers. We are already looking forward to the next edition of the Park Lane Student Film Festival.
The student Film Festival is both an opportunity for students to explore the world of filmmaking and a celebration of creative expressions through the lens of a camera. The film festival is a collaborative effort between educators in film to bring together young filmmakers from different secondary schools in an attempt to foster their love for filmmaking.
